Charlotte, NC, 10-16-06 – The Charlotte Children’s Choir, a nonprofit community organization dedicated to providing quality musical education for area youth, will kick off their 21st Anniversary Season with their fall concert entitled “It takes a Village” on Saturday, November 4th  7:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in uptown Charlotte.  Tickets for the event are $10 for students/seniors, $12 for adults and can be purchased by calling 704-374-1892 ext 21, at the door on the night of the concert, or on our website, which is www.charlottechildrenschoir.org.

 

The 200+ children involved in the Charlotte Children’s Choir will present a program dedicated to those who influence their lives.  The music presented will be on the themes of love, guidance, and empowering children.  Selections by Moses Hogan, Bob Chilcott and other contemporary composers will be featured.

 

About The Charlotte Children’s Choir:
The Charlotte Children’s Choir was founded in 1986.  Since 1991, the choir has been under the direction of Artistic Director Sandy R. Holland and has been recognized for excellence around the world.  The choir has appeared on CBS This Morning and was featured in the A & E television special, “Judy Collins Christmas at the Biltmore,” and was recently the featured choir at Carnegie Hall for the 2005 National Children’s Honors Choir.
