Charlotte Children’s
Choir Scheduling Auditions for Charlotte, N.C. May 2, 2006- The Charlotte Children’s Choir, a nonprofit community organization dedicated to providing quality musical education for area youth, is currently scheduling auditions for its 2005-2006 performance season. Auditions will be held the month of May and June by appointment only for children ages 8-18. The Charlotte Children’s Choir consists of eight performing groups (choirs), which include a total of 250 youth (ages 8-18) are representing nine different counties around the Charlotte area. Throughout the year, these groups perform at various venues around the state and the country. About the Charlotte Children’s Choir The Charlotte Children’s Choir was founded in 1986. Since 1991, the choir has been under the direction of Artistic Director Sandy R. Holland and has been recognized for excellence around the world. The choir has appeared on the A & E television special, “Judy Collins Christmas at the Biltmore,” and was the featured honor choir at Carnegie Hall this April. The Charlotte Children’s Choir is supported, in part with a Basic Operating Grant from the Arts & Science Council. ### |
